Eddy Cinema was launched in 2021 by Nicolas de Rosanbo, Jean-François Bourrel, Céline Vanlint and Maxime Baillet to develop shorts and feature films.
Our aim is to help auteur filmmakers share their unique and personal vision of the world we live in. Given today's visual content overload, we feel authenticity and honesty are the markers of meaningful filmmaking.
We are particularly interested in films about human behaviour, which scrutinise and meticulously recreate our past or present societies.
We strive to achieve high level cinematography tailor made to the subject matter. Ultimately, we hope to share our pursuit of truth and individuality with as wide an audience as possible.
Initially our development slate grew out of the collaboration between our directors and Eddy Animation or Eddy Film. Both companies foster young talent, many of whom are embarking on their first short film.
Eddy Cinema is now looking to meet and work with experienced auteur filmmakers who share our values and ambition.

Paul and his big sister Céline squabble all the time. Just the normal life of a happy family, with its occasional upsets.
Suddenly, a momentary loss of control, a sharp smack, and everything becomes tense and dramatic. The daily harmony is muted leaving only heavy silence.

Mr K works hard in a cramped office. He produces advertising posters for "Pastagel", a big company peddling a miraculous product to keep your hair fabulous all day long.
Desperate to look like his colleagues, Mr K does his best to look clean and sharp but infuriatingly his rebellious hair just doesn’t stay in place...
One night he is visited by a strange apparition, the spitting image of Mr K with a face striped like a tiger. From this moment, his organised existence is sent into disarray.

Finding himself alone in his apartment after having consumed every painting he has stolen he is still famished... so he tries his hand with a brush, paint and canvas... yielding unexpected results ! A joyful tribute to painters and an homage to Jackson Pollok, « Dripped » imagines the nature of the artistic muse in a completely new and unusual way.

September 3, 1914. German troops invade France. At dawn, Albéric Magnard, a famous french music composer, helps his wife and daughters to escape, escorted by his faithful friend, the musician Ropartz.
Magnard will not leave his manor. A long wait begins, filled with reminiscences. When the Germans mortally wound him and set fire to his manor, the characters of his opera Guercoeur come to life, like many memories blending with reality.
A film written by René Ballesteros.
